Support continues to build for NU
Football!
WOW - over the last month or so, many of you are
really showing your support for Husky Football!
Thanks to all who showed up for the Spring Game on
April 5th. It was good to see the team again, and
also a lot of you who showed up to lend your
support.
The Annual Husky Athletic Club Golf Classic on May
21st is SOLD OUT! This is great news on two
fronts. First - the Athletic Club will realize
another successful sell out and strong financial support
for all athletics. Second - the Husky Football Golf
fundraiser on June 9th is all
incremental financial support for the team which will
help assure us of achieving our goal to sponsor the
team's travel to Ball State!
This issue of the newsletter includes updates on
the financials for our "Road to Ball State" challenge,
as well as updates on the Husky Football Golf
fundraiser.
Remember - If you had pledged your donation back in
December/January, please honor those pledges by sending
your donation in!
It's time for all of us
to come through on our promises and show we are willing
to step up and do our part. You can donate

June 9th - Husky Football Alumni Golf
Fundraiser
We're less than
a month away!
On June 9th, the Husky Football
Alumni will be sponsoring a Golf Outing and Auction
Fundraiser at Wedgewood Pines in Stow, MA. This
event will be for the benefit of NU football and all
proceeds will go directly to the program and the
"Road to Ball State" challenge.

So... How many golfers do we
have?
92 spots have been
reserved for the event so far! We're not
sold out yet - and we want to get there, which means we
need 144 total. If you haven't
reserved your foursome - please do so ASAP. Even
if you don't have a foursome, come along as a single, or
twosome and we'll make sure you get paired up.
Want to golf with a coach? Sponsor them and we'll
match you up!
What about auction
and raffle items?
We've been collecting some
great items for the auction and raffle - Patriot
tickets, Red Sox tickets, collectibles, field passes for
Ball State and Syracuse games, transportation and
accommodation for Syracuse game, gift certificates and
more!
Do you have items for the raffle or
auction? We need more!
If you have tickets to sporting events, memorabilia,
gift certificates, or other items you can donate for the

On Thursday, August 28th our NU
Football Huskies are taking on the Ball State
Cardinals. In January, we sent out a challenge to
the alumni and friends to sponsor the team's travel to
the game - this is our target:
$75,000 to sponsor the trip to Ball
State
Here's a great way to
show your support by helping to pay for the team's
travel to Muncie,
Indiana!

last newsletter, there has been a significant increase
in emails and phone calls expressing your support.
More and more alumni are expressing their support and
willingness to become involved and be part of a new
future for NU Football specifically, and NU Athletics in

solution.
